MLBDepthCharts at Baseball Prospectus

I'm very excited to announce that I'll be moving over to Baseball Prospectus and taking MLBDepthCharts with me, beginning in January 2013 (exact date undetermined). With the responsibilities that I've taken on there over the past year (Playing Time Projections, Minor League Update), it makes more sense for me to conduct business in one location while utilizing the resources provided to make MLBDC better than ever.

While much of BP's content is subscription-based, the MLBDC team pages will continue to be free!!! Most of the content on the BP player cards linked to each player's name will be free. In addition, I'll be maintaining a blog on the main MLBDC page that will include updates on anything that's going on with MLBDC, and plenty of roster notes from around the league. I'll still be podcasting, chatting, and writing weekly features.

You'll be able to find everything just as easy. Navigating the team pages will be as simple as ever. In other words, this will have almost zero effect on readers. If anything, it will be even more user-friendly because you can access stats and analysis without leaving the site. Prospect and Fantasy content will also be easily accessible from the MLBDC-related pages.

There are no major changes planned for the near future, although I plan on picking the brains of the great baseball minds over at Baseball Prospectus and kicking around some ideas for making MLBDC an even better resource than it has been the past three years.

In the meantime, it's business as usual. Coverage of all the free agent signings, trades, non-tenders, etc. will continue right here at MLBDC. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to send me an email at mlbdepthcharts@gmail.com
