In an effort to make my roster projections as accurate as possible, I do listen to all feedback from readers and consider making changes based on it. In fact, I make changes often because of reader arguments. It forces me to do further research and dig for answers.
Some of you may not like a lot of my current projections, but what I'm asking for in the comments section is ONE roster projection that really annoys you when you look at it. If it makes you think to yourself, 'THERE IS NO F'ING WAY THAT IS HAPPENING', please post it in the comments section with what you think is the more likely scenario. Don't re-do an entire 25-man projection for me. Just one specific section or one position. You're also welcome to comment that you think I'm right on with all 30 roster projections.
Have fun!

I think the Nationals are much more likely to carry Steve Lombardozzi on their ML roster than Xavier Paul or Andres Blanco.
Otherwise, great job!
I think Lindblom has a better chance than Grabow in being in the Dodger's bullpen
That's pretty much it, your projections are very much appreciated!
Javy Guerra is the Dodgers closer not Kenley Jansen. Jansen pitched great, but it is Guerra's job to lose.
I agree with Javy Guerra being the closer, until the Dodgers say otherwise.
I think with Polanco being healthy again for the Phillies their lineup is more likely to be....
SS Rollins
3B Polanco
2B Utley
RF Pence
LF Nix
CF Victorino
1B Wigginton
C Ruiz
That's about all I have for ya. Splitting hairs here. Keep up the amazing work! I live on your site from Spring all through the entire season. It's absolutely perfect for keeping my MLB The Show seasons up to date and accurate. Thanks so much Jason!!
I would bet that the Giants will make Pagan leadoff hitter, let Melky play LF and Schierholtz RF, with Huff being 1b.
I think that perhaps until they acquire somebody, Boesch will be used in the 5-hole just like in 2010. Raburn would bat second. Or Boesch batting third, Young batting fifth.
In Philly, Thome plays 1B vs. righties and Wigginton vs. lefties, Uncle Cholly will trot out very different batting orders for those. And in Frisco, expect Buster Posey to play quite a bit of 1B as they assess how he's healed.
I think the overall work is fantastic, the one projected lineup that annoys me is the Brewers listing Ryan Braun as their number three hitter, when he will be gone for the first 50 games. I would think that with all the righty / lefty match ups that your lineup projections are what you expect to be the majority look over the next month, and Braun at three is not likely for that time frame.
Fister above Scherzer any day in Detroit's rotation.
Agree with everyone else, you do a great job and I love following it on the days/weeks/months leading up to the season.
I think if there was anyway you could completely change the MN Twins roster, that would be great. I hate it and it's neither a team from top to bottom that will compete for a playoff spot or a team that is worth $100 million payroll. See what you can do about it :)
ya do an awesome job
but I agree w/Gary:
time to remove Braun from Brewers
laird indtead of laird on yankees bench
laird instead of vasquez is what i meant
I know it just happened, but do you think Avila is really Prince's protection in Detroit. I'd have to guess Young
Thanks for all the responses everyone! Just a few thoughts on each, in order from the top:
Re: Lombardozzi vs Paul/Blanco
For a young prospect, I always tend to go with everyday playing time in AAA vs a bench role while collecting service time. If the young player is not a projected future starter in the big leagues, I could see them making an exception. But in Lombarozzi's case, he's definitely got a chance to be a starter in the near future, and with just 69 games of AAA experience, could benefit from more time there.
Re: Grabow vs Lindblom
Lindblom has a future in the Dodgers 'pen and was very effective last season. But an effective Grabow would give them that very important second lefty. And it wouldn't hurt to give Lindblom some more AAA time. If Grabow just doesn't have it anymore, and none of the other lefties in camp (Castillo, Ledezma, Rice, Chico) impress, Lindblom would definitely be in line for a spot. He'll need to do better against left-handed hitters (.292 BAA in AA; .370 BAA in MLB) though to ensure long-term success.
Re: Guerra vs Jansen
I haven't seen where the Dodgers have named Guerra the closer. Send me a link if they have. I see it as a very even battle going into Spring Training and I think Jansen is going to win. Plain and simple, he has the potential to be one of the top closers in the game. Guerra was pretty impressive himself last year, which is why I have him in line to set up for Jansen in the 8th. Could go either way with this projection but I'm leaning towards Jansen winning the competition.
Re: Phillies lineup
Polanco hit in the #2 hole in about half of his games and Victorino hit there in about 1/3 of his games. If Polanco is healthy, he's a prototypical #2 hitter. But Victorino is also a great fit with his high OBP and speed combo. Could go either way but I like Victorino there.
Re: Giants lineup
As much as I want to believe that Brandon Belt is ready to be the everyday 1B for the Giants, you may be right. Buster Posey is also expected to see time at 1B so it doesn't make sense to keep Belt in the big leagues to ride the pine. Huff was reportedly going to prepare for LF, although there was no indication that he would be there full-time.
In the case of Pagan vs Melky, my theory is simple. Melky had a great season at the top of the Royals lineup in 2011. Pagan had a down year and actually had most of his AB's in the #5 or 6 spot with the Mets. Unless he clearly out-hits Melky in Spring Training, I'd bet Melky stays atop the lineup. I have Schierholtz as my odd man out with Belt in there but Bochy loves him so I bet he'll get his 300-400 AB's.
Re: Boesch's lineup spot
Moot point now. With Prince on the team, no need to move him down to help supply some more power. Flip-flopping him with Raburn against LHP's does make sense, though.
Re: Thome vs Wigginton
GM Ruben Amaro already said that he expected Wigginton to play the majority of the time with Thome likely for 4-5 games per month. I had it wrong until someone pointed out the article.
i agree that laird should be on the yanks roster instead of vasquez. how about jayson nix?
laird has mlb experience and so does nix. the yankees like experience as they did last year opening day, gustavo molina instead of montero. vasquez has never played in the mlb nor is on the 40 man
Sorry I doubted your projections:
