The MLBDepthCharts Twitter feed has earned it's third top follow list in the last six months (SI.com's Inaugural Top 100 in July; Top Prospect Alert's 'Top 50 Must-Follow Baseball Twitter Account's' earlier this month were the first two. Bleacher Report has released it's top 30 MLB Must-Follows and if the numbers associated with the name mean anything, I came in at #3 behind one of the best baseball writers around, Kevin Goldstein of Baseball Prospectus and ESPN, and former Rangers' farmhand Michael Schlact, who I finally started following after hearing a lot of great things about his tweeting ability.
Thanks to Matt Trueblood, who wrote the article, although he does mistakenly mention that I do have help with the feed. I do have a team of awesome contributors, who help in many different aspects (magazine, regular season features, podcast, etc.), but the twitter feed, roster projections and updates, for consistency's sake, are solely my work. I like to mention that so people will cut me more slack if I make a mistake once in awhile. In all seriousness, it's an honor to be mentioned with the other names on the list. I guess I'm doing something right. Thanks Matt and Bleacher Report!

I'd add at least 10 more names to your list of players who should still find mlb deals. --> D. Lee, Betemit, Keppinger, Theriot, Vlad, Harden, Cordero, Qualls, Wheeler, and Coffey. Unless they are injured and I'm unaware of it.
The only one on your list I disagree with would be Francis. Though he started 31 games last year his fastball is down to 85 mph - aren't going to be very many gm's that like that figure.
Congrats on the recogntion -- it's very well-deserved.
Question: will you be adding to the spreadsheets the "League at a Glance" sheets you published last year? It was nice to be able to see all of the teams' defense/lineups on a single page.
Re: mlb deals
I think there are about 20 FA's that could get major league deals in all. From that list, I think Keppinger could have a tough time getting one and even Vlad might consider retirement if he doesn't get a good offer. The others have a pretty good shot.
Re: Spreadsheets
Thanks for the congrats! Yes, I'll have 2 different roster projection grids that show each team's lineup, bench, rotation, and bullpen side-by-side. One will show the projected lineup order, one will show the projected lineup by position.
love this site!
congrats on the recognition
& more praise sure to follow
