C Salvador Perez, Triple-A Omaha (KC)
season stats: .283 BA, 9 HR, 43 RBI, 14 2B, 16 BB, 30 K in 79 G (AA)
July 20-July 26: 11-for-23, 3 HR, 16 RBI, 2B
Promoted to Triple-A today, Perez finished his Double-A career in style. The 21 year-old, who has vaulted himself into contention for the Royals' "catcher of the very near future", was 10-for-16 in his last four games with Northwest Arkansas with 3 HR and 15 RBI. Named the best defensive catcher in the organization by Baseball America for the past three pre-seasons, it's now clear that Perez has the offensive potential to match. Expect him to be named among the top 10 prospects in the organization going into 2012 and he could challenge for a starting job out of Spring Training.

RHP Bobby Bundy, Hi-A Frederick (BAL)
season stats: 2.92 ERA, 114 IP, 99 H, 30 BB, 97 K in 19 starts
July 20-July 26: 7 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 0 BB, 6 K in 1 start
Not only is Bundy an 'under the radar' prospect in the American League, he may have been overshadowed this summer by his talented younger brother, Dylan, when the O's took him with the 4th pick in the draft. But the 20 year-old is doing everything he can to grab the attention of the organization as he continues with a terrific Carolina League debut. He won his 10th game of the season and lowered his ERA to 2.92 after seven strong innings against Myrtle Beach this past weekend. While it's not certain that the O's will be able to sign the younger Bundy, they can at least feel good that his big brother is having a breakout season and should be one of their top pitchers in Double-A Bowie next season.
