Who do the Dodgers have in the farm system to replace Broxton? Padilla is DEF not the answer

No one who is going to close right away unless Kenley Jansen can turn things around. If he would have pitched like he did when he came up last year, I think the job would be his already. Instead, he's back in the minors. Rubby De La Rosa could help their 'pen later in the season but probably not as the closer. I like Kuo to take the closer's job in the near future.

Do you think the Dodgers should trade or buyout Furcal?

Jason - MLBDepthCharts.com said... June 8, 2011 4:08 PM

Nope. Should be back healthy for the second half of the season. Don't know if he'l have any trade value because of all the injuries but I'm guessing he's much better than Dee Gordon at this stage of their careers. Slow start aside, if Furcal can stay healthy he'll start producing eventually.

Gordon may surprise but I doubt he makes much of an impact with his bat this season. Maybe 2012.

who do u think is faster dee gordon or jose reyes?
probably reyes

I bet it's close. They're both very, very fast. What separates these types of speed burners is the ability to read pitchers, get good jumps, and be an overall good baserunner. Judging by Gordon's SB efficiency (33-for-40 bet. MLB/AAA), he's gotten much better in that category.

is Broxton going to pitch again this year?

Sounds like they're waiting for him to be symptom-free before he even throws again. Hasn't reached that point yet. No need to rush him back as long as they're not contending.
