What's your prediction for Tyler Chatwood? I think he might stick even if he struggles a bit. Anything is better than that train-wreck Kazmir.

They rushed Walden and it's worked out OK so far. But pitching one inning at a time is much different than the 5-7 innings Chatwood is expected to go each time out. Hitters are more likely to adjust to him the 2nd or 3rd time through the lineup. He'd have to make quick adjustments. If they were to stick with him for more than 1-2 starts, I'd expect a few really good starts, some really bad starts, and some OK outings in between. Better than what Kazmir was giving them but it could still get ugly at times.

Yes, I pretty much agree. I hope for more good than bad since I just picked him up in my fantasy league....

Is Rodney making spot saves? Is he worth picking up in fantasy leagues?

Looks that way. Not really too many other options in the Angels bullpen right now if Walden is unavailable. Not a big fan but he has a 3.86 ERA, 10 holds, and 3 saves. Pretty good for a non-closer. He was also good in a setup role for most of last season.

Do you see Trumbo playing 1b next year?

I think that has to be the plan going into the offseason. If Kendrys Morales proves that he's healthy, then they'll have to figure out how to get them both in the lineup. Scioscia does a pretty good job of juggling the lineup now. I think he can work everyone in if Morales and Trumbo are both in the mix next season. As they say, it's a good problem to have.

I need some fantasy baseball advice. I'm in a keeper league and stuck with Trumbo all year. Is his future solid enough to keep him for next season over someone say Nick Markakis?

I think he's proven that he can be a productive big league regular with 30+ HR potential. His sub-.300 OBP scares me a bit and the return of Kendry Morales makes his future with the Angels uncertain. Markakis, on the other hand, is going to be the starting RF for the Orioles. There's no question about that. And I think he has a chance of bouncing back from a below-average season. So, I wouldn't take Trumbo over Markakis.
