When does Vin Mazzaro get called up?

Was supposed to be called up once the 5th starter spot came up in the rotation but he wasn't pitching well in AAA so they're going with O'Sullivan for now.

The Royals have a developing situation at 1st base. Hosmer and Robinson are absolutely tearing up AAA while Kila is struggling in KC. How much rope does GMDM give Kila before attempting to plug in one of the Omaha bats? I know that Robinson is pretty brutal in the field, but Butler could move back to the everyday 1st baseman if Clint is the call up choice. Interesting moves upcoming for the Royals brass as their youngsters are really knocking on the door. Your thoughts?

Was ready to put Hosmer on this week's 'Knocking Down the Door' list but he slowed down just a bit and still hasn't had a lot of extra base hits. The only way I'd like to see him called up before June 1st is if he has a huge week where he has extra base hits in bunches. I had Kila on my 'Losing Your Grip' list last week but he has 5 hits in the last 4 games. May be snapping out of it. If he slumps again, maybe they do give Robinson a short audition. Once Hosmer arrives, he is completely out of the picture. In all fairness to Kila, three weeks is not enough time to evaluate him and I'm sure the Royals would rather have him produce so he has some trade value when Hosmer is ready to take over.

yeah but how about Moustakas.

He's off to a slow start. He has a legitimate shot to be in KC after June 1st but no need to rush him as long as two of Betemit, Aviles, and Getz are hitting. Betemit is hitting, Aviles is starting to come around, and Getz is slumping after a slow start. Ask again if Mous gets hot and two of those guys go into a deep slump at the same time.

Its official. The Royals are really going to try to make a run in 2012. 9 rookies on the 25 man. We are oficially throwing in the towel for this year to have a chance at run next year...
