How far away is Juan Francisco?
Probably close enough for some team to give him a chance to play everyday. Just probably won't be the Reds.
Who will pitch the fifth rotation spot before Volquez, Bailey and LeCure return?
Chad Reineke is coming up tomorrow. He gets the first shot at it.
Is Bailey coming back soon? I thought that with Wood being demoted they'd stick LeCure in the rotation.
Sounds like that's the plan for Bailey to be activated the next time that spot comes up. Wood wouldn't be demoted so LeCure could take his rotation spot. If that was the case, there would be no need to activate Lecrue until his spot came up. He'll be a reliever.
So Heisey is playing every day? If you played fantasy baseball, would you pick him up and drop someone line Torii Hunter?
I wouldn't. Dusty seems to go with the hot hand. It just so happens that Heisey was that guy recently but he can just as easily change it up with Fred Lewis (like today) or Jonny Gomes. Torii Hunter is playing everyday with no chance of anyone taking playing time away.
What is the injury status of Juan Francisco, Jared Burton & Matt Maloney?
Burton and Maloney both started rehab assignments recently. Maloney is probably close but I imagine they'll take it slow with Burton since he's just coming back from his shoulder injury after missing the entire season. Haven't heard much about Francisco but I think I read he had a torn meniscus in his knee. So probably mid-to-late August for a return. Maybe a September call-up as a lefty bat off the bench.
