Thanks for the tip! The order of the staff is hard to keep up with once the season gets going because of injuries, skipped days, etc. but the 2011 projection should back in that order in a few weeks.
Going to next year the rotation is
without a dobut
1. Cahill 18-8 2.97 (extension getting done)
2. Anderson 7-6 2.80 (already extended)
3. Gio 15-9 3.23
4. Braden 11-14 3.50
5. Up for grabs Mazzaro, Ross, Mortenson, Outman
your site is getting better all the time. I use it to look at other teams im not as familar with, a differnt color of something for a guy with options would be a good addition..
great job
Cahill will get opening night for monster year, but Anderson should be the Ace of the staff next year with Cahill right behing
Thanks again! It might take awhile for me to get the A's page completely updated with player pages but I'll have projections up for 2011 shortly after the World Series is over. Eventually, the player pages will have all of the contract stuff, including arbitration info, options, left, etc. Feel free to send me your feedback anytime. I trust readers who follow the team on a day-to-day basis to help me put the puzzle together.
Man, super excited about our rotation this year! Young and talented. The lineup feels like an improvement over the last few years, but still doesn't have that 1 superstar that could put them over the top.
I think their lineup is good enough to get them into the playoffs. The rotation is going to string together plenty of quality starts and that bullpen is going to shut opponents down after the 6th inning so they won't need a ton of runs to win. Just good quality ABs with runners in scoring position.
agree, everything in its right place, offense wont blow you away, but will win many games with timley hitting
updates for you...
minor detial but Kouz will bat 8th and Ellis 7th, its over my head but Geren has put this lineup out a bunch and calls it his everyday one.
Sogard is the backup IF for now, but his arm is weak at SS, but it's either him or waiver wire, do id porject him.
just bump Blevins into the bullpen, Fuentes closer and bailey out for know, timetable unknown.
thats it....strive for prefection...
Got it. Was waiting to see if Bailey progressed quickly but they'll be smart to take it slow. They have the depth so no need to rush him.
Noticed that Ellis hit in front of Kouz. Has better ABs than Kouz but surprised that a guy with 25+ HR potential is hitting 8th. Guess that's also a good thing if you can bat a guy with his power in the 8th spot.
Do you know if LaRoche has gotten any time at SS? He's out-hitting Tolleson and Sogard by a wide margin. Don't think he would be any worse than Sogard defensively.
laroche was playing a few at SS earlier...cant really handle it...sogard has been put there alot as spring progresses...cant really handle it (arm strength) how they miss rosales. Id expect a trade for an older non-prospect type player, dont think they want to spent 1 mil on a free agent vet. they dont have any SS (with an mlb glove) really in their whole system... Cardenas probably plays SS for AAA.
looks perfect
