Carson Keiner was released, Sean Watson was assigned to AA.
Have you heard anything about Ben Jukich, is he at extended ST?
Thanks! Once I get caught up with the last few teams, I'll be able to run through the rosters often and keep them updated. There are quite a few notable players on rosters that aren't assigned to teams yet. It's impossible to find any info on them but it's usually because they have a minor injury and stayed behind in extended spring training. I'm guessing that's what happened with Jukich. Either that or they felt he didn't get enough work this spring while with the Cardinals.
To make room for Balentien, the Reds transferred Terrero to AA, whilst releasing Logan Parker.
Matt Maloney to the dl, Ben Jukich to the rotation.
Why did they release Anderson, Juan Francisco is now out for at least a month with emergency appendix surgery.
Anderson was 5-for-40 with 0 walks. That's pretty brutal. Maybe they move Yonder Alonso now up to AAA.
I'm not saying Anderson was good, just a body. I forgot about Alonso, you might be right. If they have another injury they'll have too.
Daniel Dorn has a broken hand, will be out at least a month.
Yonder Alonso has been called up to Louisville, he will play primarily in LF.
AAA update - Justin Lehr is on the dl, Burton is back in the pen, Reineke is the 5th starter for now.
Large Clean Up necessary,
Joseph Krebs has been promoted to AAA, Ben Jukich is in the rotation for the moment (Chapman's start is being skipped due to a blister).
Scott Carroll has been promoted to AA, Jeremy Horst has been promoted to AA, Travs Webb has been promoted to AA, Lee Tabor has been demoted to AA (on the dl), Daryl Thompson is on the AA dl, Daryl Harang was demoted to A+, Sean Watson was demoted to A+.
James Avery has been assigned to A+, Nick Christiani has been promoted to A+, Curtis Partch has been assigned to A+, Scott Gaffney is on the A+ dl, Jordan Wideman has been promoted to A+, Kevyn Feiner has been promoted to A+, Efrain Contreras has been promoted to A+.
Jason Braun has been assigned to A, Tim Crabbe has been assigned to A, Brian Pearl is on the dl, J.C. Sulbaran is off the dl, Chase Weems has been assigned to A, Thomas Nurre has been assigned to A, Sean Conner has been assigned to A (on the dl), Josh Garton has been assigned to A, Cameron Satterwhite has been assigned to A.
Matt Klinker has been promoted to AAA (rotation), Ben Jukich is back in the bullpen.
Matt Fairel has been promoted to AA, Daryl Harang has been promoted to AA, Lee Tabor has been activated from the dl, Dallas Buck has been placed on the dl.
Donnie Joseph has been promoted to A+, Curtis Partch is in the A+ rotation.
Ricky Bowen has been assigned to A, Blair Carson has been assigned to A, Jacob Johnson has been assigned to A (rotation), Tim Crabbe has been demoted to Billings, Chris Richburg is on the dl, Mike Kostansky has been assigned to A.
The Reds re-signed Daryl Thompson to another minor league deal.

Thanks! I'm putting every 6-year minor leaguer in the Minor League Free Agent pool and then I was planning on going to the BA transactions to see if any had re-signed yet. I'm working on initial minor league projections right now. Feel free to send me some feedback.
Jake Kahaulelio is the best infielder in the Reds minors system. The guy was a double-a all-star and made Alonso look weak when they played together, all while being injured on and off. Plus he has wheels, soft hands, and a hand cannon. Sometimes I wonder if you guys actually pay attention or just don't know true talent. Jake had to take the hard way to pro ball, he wasn't having his ass licked in highschool and college. Look at the resume, freakin mvp of every team.
Re: Kahaulelio
Hey I appreciate your passion and your expectations for the site. Aside from a few site contributors that help with specific features of the site, I am a one-man operation when it comes to rosters and projections. During these last few weeks before the big league season opens, I'm forced to make quick decisions on where to place minor league guys because there really is too many players and not enough spots for everybody. With that said, I did move Kahaulelio to the projected bench recently after Zach Cozart was demoted but I did put some thought into it. Kris Negron, who was added to the 40-man this offseason, is also expected to play somehwere. Chris Valaika and Juan Francisco might end up in AAA as well. So you've got a very crowded infield (2B/SS/3B) picture in the upper minors. Good problem to have for the Reds and it will be interesting to see how they work it all out. As the minor league rosters are set during the first week of April, you will see a much clearer and more accurate picture of the minor league teams. Right now, the #1 priority is getting the big league rosters organized and then I'll get to reassessing the minor league projections. Feel free to send over any tips on where anyone might be playing. Thanks again!
Reds have announced Grandal will start at Bakersfield. Valaika should be the starting 2bman in AAA, Negron might be forced to start at AA.
I have no idea what the other guy was smoking, but Kahaulelio is nothing but a backup at the AAA level.
Got it. Thanks! Read a tweet from someone that said Grandal will start in AA but it did seem pretty aggressive. I'll be starting to go through and re-project rosters in the next few days. Very crowded infield picture in upper minors.
Dave Sappelt is back.
Jake Kahaulelio has the heart of a freaking champion and posses the will to win. Although he isn't the prototypical INF that every organization looks for to be the next big thing he has heart and plays every game as if it was his last. That's alot more then what you can say about all the "Me" and "I" players in the Reds organization. He definitely should earn a chance at the bigs and if the Reds won't give him that chance then allow another organization to so it. Any team would be lucky to have a player like Kahaulelio in their farm system.
