For those of you who have downloaded a copy of 'The Spreadsheets at MLBDepthCharts.com', I just wanted to clear up a few things regarding the salary column. The listed salary in column H indicates how much the team will be paying the player in 2010. It does not include the amount that a former team will be paying towards that player's salary. That amount will show up in the team's total payroll. For example, Roy Halladay is due to make $15.75M in 2010 but only shows up with a salary of $9.75M on the Philadelphia Phillies team page. In this case, his former team (Toronto Blue Jays) is paying $6M towards his 2010 salary. On the Blue Jays team page, Halladay is listed in the 'Traded/Lost off Waivers/Signed by another team' section but still shows a salary of $6M which is included in Toronto's 2010 payroll at the top of the column.
In a case where a team is paying some or all of a 2010 salary to a former player that was not on the team at the end of 2009, the salary is listed in a hidden column (usually in H42) that is also calculated into the total payroll at the top of the column.
Also, a few of the team payroll formula's got a little out of whack after I moved some players around. I just realized after the latest update but everything is fixed now. Sorry for any confusion.
Ninety-nine percent of all salary info was found at Cot's Baseball Contracts. This site has just about everything you want to know that is salary-related and also includes individual team pages with information on every player on the current roster.
