MLBDepthCharts was created to help readers keep up with the roster activity of each and every major league baseball organization. I'm hoping that this site can be a valuable resource for all baseball fans. My goal is to always offer accurate, educated, and up-to-the-minute roster projections. Click HERE for info on how I determine the projections. I'd appreciate any tips from readers on something I may have missed or just a comment on why you may have a difference of opinion. If you can offer a valid argument against one of my projections, I will be more than happy to make a change.Since I was a kid, I've always maintained some form of roster tracking as I'm doing here. Now I'm just sharing my notes with you in a much more organized and easier-to-read format. I operate the site from my hometown of San Diego, CA, where I live with my wife and two kids. And yes, I am an insanely passionate Padre fan. I have been since my grandfather introduced me to this great game when I was about 5 years old.
In July 2011, MLBDepthCharts was named to SI.com's inaugural Twitter 100, a list honoring the most essential twitter feeds in the sports world. The site has also received Twitter shout-outs from ESPN's Baseball Tonight Host Steve Berthiaume, ESPN's Senior Fantasy Analyst Matthew Berry, Baseball Prospectus writer John Perotto, former Dodgers GM Dan Evans, and Hall of Fame baseball reporter Peter Gammons. In addition, the site has been referenced in numerous articles on websites that include FanGraphs, Baseball-Reference, Grantland, and Sports Illustrated's February 28, 2011 cover story titled 'Brave New World'.
Hope you enjoy!

The transactions column says Rasmus agreed to a deal w/STL.
Thanks for catching that!
Jason - is there any way I can get a link from your site? I've mentioned MLBdepthcharts and provided a link to your site within the post that introduced MORPS projections for 2012.
Obie
Thanks Obie. Contact me at mlbdepthcharts@gmail.com. I have an idea for some great promotion to the MORPS projections. Just want to get some more info.
Is there any chance you guys would consider putting up projected batting orders against both LHP and RHP
Possibly on the website, but MLBDepthCharts Magazine will have a Lineup Edition in a few weeks with projected vs RHP and LHP and 2011 splits.
Jason,
I've recently noticed you have player pages (other sites) on each player...I'm not sure if you are aware but there is a great site you aren't including that has college stats on players bios. It's thebaseballcube.com....
For example:
http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?P=Matt-LaPorta
I find it quite interesting to look at when looking at prospects drafted out of college.
Perhaps you might start adding it to player's pages?
It's a good point but it would take forever to start adding that to the 500 or so players I've created pages for. I'm hoping to re-design the website soon. That would allow me to display stats so buying a database with ncaa stats is a possibility.
