DAILY ROUNDUP - 2/19

Braves re-sign Tom Glavine
ROSTER IMPACT: The Braves continue to add depth to their rotation which allows them to move Jorge Campillo back to the bullpen, where he had a 1.25 ERA in 21.1 IP last season. The big question now is what the team's plans are for top pitching prospect Tommy Hanson. While some had speculated earlier in the off season that he could make the team out of spring training, that now appears to be a long shot. Barring injury or the team falling out of contention early, we might not see Hanson until September call-ups.

Jeff Francis likely out for the season
ROSTER IMPACT: A huge opportunity just opened up for LHP Jorge De La Rosa, who might've been headed for the bullpen after the off season acquisitions of Greg Smith and Jason Marquis. After posting a 3.08 ERA and a 7-3 record after the all-star break, he was likely going to be considered for a rotation spot anyways but the competition just got a lot easier. Josh Fogg and Jason Hirsh will also be in the competition with De La Rosa, Smith, and Marquis for the 3,4, and 5 spots in the rotation.
