ABOUT MLBDEPTHCHARTS.COM

MLBDepthCharts.com was created to help readers keep up with the roster activity of each and every major league baseball team. Roster projection will be updated as transactions or lineup changes happen.

Since I was a kid, I've always maintained some form of roster tracking as I'm doing with this blog. I'm hoping that this site can be a useful resource for all baseball fans. I operate the site from my hometown of San Diego, CA, where I live with my wife and two kids. And yes, I am an insanely passionate Padre fan. I have been since I was about 5 years old.

Your feedback is more than welcome. In fact, please feel free to argue in the comments section against any of my projections. If your argument is good enough, I will be more than happy to make the change. My goal is to be as accurate as possible and I'd appreciate any tips from readers on something I may have missed.

Hope you enjoy!

I'm a "baseball-aholic" too. Thanks for the "sleeper" closer list...I ended up with Frank Francisco(TEX), Chad Qualls(ARZ), and Jason Motte(STL). I picked them pretty late and loaded up on my hitting and starting pitching. I see you're a Padre fan, I am a huge Adrian Gonzalez fan and drafted him in the 4th round. You should do a prediction for all the division winners, wildcard, AL/NL winner, and WS champ before the season starts. Just curious what you think...

Re: predictions

I'll definitely post some of my predictions before opening day but Ive also been thinking about running some contests for readers where you all can make your predictions on a bunch of different teams and players.

Sounds great, I'll definitely "enter" the contests!

Thanks for the hard work. I looked around for a long time to find a site like this where the rosters are up to the minute. I use this to update my baseball game rosters, and I will check this site everyday during the season.

This is literally the most useful site I've ever seen... especially for my very intense NL only league, where I have to scout players like the newest #8 batter slotted into a mediocre lineup.

I really can't thank you enough. It's so refreshing to find a fellow fan who shares his hard work with others. Well done, sir.

Killer information. I'm in a deep NL only league and I toil every year to find this info. Thank you. Do you have a donate to MLB Depthcharts.com?

Glad you found the info helpful. No donate option at this point. Just visit often and tell a friend.

since gwynn and hairston not offered contracts ,what is their future?? and what angle is san diego going?? thanks

re: gwynn and hairston

Both are valuable fourth outfielders. Gwynn for his defense and Hairston for his ability to hit well vs LHP's. The Padres, sadly, cannot afford to pay their reserves over $1M per year. They have some depth there as well (Cunningham, Denorfia, Durango) so they'll spend the little money they have elsewhere.
