INTRODUCTION OF SITE

MLBDepthCharts.com was created to help readers keep up with the roster activity of each and every major league baseball team. Roster projection and analysis of every player will be updated as transactions or lineup changes happen. Updated projections will often be backed up by links to news stories from trusted sources around the web.

Your feedback is more than welcome. In fact, please feel free to argue in the comments section against any of my projections. If your argument is good enough and backed up by a reliable source using a link to a story on the web, I will be more than happy to make the change. My goal is to be as accurate as possible and I'd appreciate any tips from readers on something I may have missed.

Hope you enjoy!

Will you be tracking spring training moves--ie, players sent to minor league camp, or other firm indications that they won't be making the 25?

How about closer battles? It's always a hot topic, would be good to see which guy you currently project to have the job.

Anonymous, position battles will definitely be a hot topic on this site during spring training. I just need to decide which one's are the most interesting. What do you think is the top closer battle?

Roll2: I will be updating everything from players being optioned to the minors, to being DFA'd, to being claimed on waivers, and I'll also be re-projecting if I hear or read a manager or GM comment on anything related to lineup or roster.

This site is hard on the eyes! Needs some visual help before I stop by frequently.

Jason, interested in some help with the site? Let me know where I can email you and we can discuss if you'd like. I have my own blog but have been looking to join up with another site if the right opportunity were to present itself.

Re: This site is hard on the eyes
Any suggestions? Different font maybe? I'll try a few different things out.

everythingbaseball, you can contact me at info@mlbdepthcharts.com and let me know what you have in mind. I'm getting some very good feedback today. Once I can digest it all, I will probably have a better idea of how much help I will need to maintain the site.

good ideas here!!
as far as the visual aspect--try black background with a lot of space and photos (if possible). it will make for a much more enjoyable read and not just hard info. make these entries feel like featurettes!

i appreciate the enthusiasm!

cheers,

2 suggestions. I would change the layout the all white background just doesn't work well. color it up a bit.

Also not all starters are the same. maybe get an icon or something to show the differences between a lock say Ryan Braun's hold of the Brewers LF. Another for a platoon level player like Daniel Murphy being the LH half of the Mets LF and another for a mess say the cast of characters for the Braves LF job.

I like the idea regarding the different icons that identify a player as being a lock, platoon, or in a competition.bThanks!

Great site! I'm going on my 9th season in running a fantasy baseball league and your site is the best for roster updates, lineups, and just everything in general. I'm from Cleveland, a huge Tribe fan, and I'll help you out here and there with the Indians.

bjt68, I appreciate that!

This site is fantastic! Is your goal to update with daily lineup/platoon changes? Will your lineups be the most frequent lineup or the lineup of the day during the reg season?

much better background, this looks to be the start of a great site. Keep up the good work.

Great site!!! I really enjoy all the info.

One suggestion can you add a way to go to the next team within the division or league. AT this time I look thru the team and am at the bottom so I have to go up to the top to find next team. As a fantasy team owner I look at every team to see what updates there are for all teams not necessarily one team. thanks Chris
